a) Publicly sourced business information: For Sourced Listings, we collect business names, trading addresses, phone numbers, categories, and other business details from publicly available sources such as Google Search and Google Business Profiles. This information generally relates to a business rather than an identifiable individual, but may in some cases include the name or contact details of a sole trader or business owner.

b) Information provided during claim/verification: When a business claims and verifies a listing, we may collect the claimant's name, email address, phone number, role at the business, and any supporting documentation provided to establish authority to manage the listing.

c) Information provided by Verified Businesses: Content entered into a listing after claiming, including descriptions, images, and contact details.

d) Advertising and subscription details: If you purchase a Paid Service, we collect billing name, contact details, and payment information (processed via a third-party payment processor — we do not store full card details).

e) Website usage data: Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral source, collected via cookies and analytics tools (see clause 6).

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

• directly from publicly available online sources, for the purpose of compiling Sourced Listings;
• directly from you, when you claim a listing, contact us, or purchase a Paid Service;
• automatically, through your use of the Website (e.g. analytics, cookies).

3. Why We Collect and Use Information

We use personal information to:

• build and maintain the Website's business directory;
• contact businesses to invite them to claim and verify their listing;
• verify the identity and authority of a person claiming a listing;
• provide, manage, and bill for Paid Services;
• respond to correction, removal, or general enquiries;
• improve and administer the Website; and
• comply with our legal obligations.

4. Direct Marketing and Verification Emails

4.1 We may send email communications to businesses inviting them to verify and claim their Sourced Listing. These communications relate to a listing already published about that business and are sent for the purpose of enabling the business to correct or control its own information.

4.2 Any marketing or promotional emails we send (for example, about Paid Services) will comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), including providing a clear and functional unsubscribe mechanism in every message. We will action unsubscribe requests promptly.

4.3 We do not sell or rent business or personal contact details to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose information to:

• our staff and contractors who manage the Website (bound by confidentiality obligations);
• IT service providers, hosting providers, and payment processors who assist us to operate the Website (which may be located outside Australia, including the United States or other jurisdictions where our hosting/cloud providers operate);
• law enforcement or regulatory bodies where required by law; and
• a third party in connection with a sale or restructure of our business, subject to confidentiality arrangements.

Where a Sourced Listing is published, the underlying business information (already publicly available) is displayed on the Website and is therefore accessible to the public.

We will correct or remove inaccurate business information on request in accordance with APP 13.

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you or your business by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity or authority before actioning a request. There is no charge for making a request; we may charge a reasonable fee for providing access where permitted by law.

9. Overseas Disclosure

Some of our service providers (such as hosting, email delivery, or analytics platforms) may store or process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
